GUERILLA TREK – - 15 Days

GUERILLA TREK
The latest offering in the Nepalese trekking trails is the guerilla trek,
From 1996 to 2006 Nepal went through a violent era of conflict between the government forces and the Nepalese Maoist rebels. This trek follows the trails of the Maoist rebels who used the western mountainous region of rukum and rolpa to wage a guerilla war against the government forces. needless to say, peace has been restored in the country and Nepal is no longer a kingdom but it still remains just as beautiful and enchanting as it did during the decade of conflict.

The guerilla trek starts in beni entering the dhorpatan hunting reserve then unto myagdi and futher into rukum and rolpa which were the epicentre of the conflict during the civil war. The trail will take you through jaljala pass (3107m) from here you can see the panoramic view of Api(7132m) Saipal(7031m) Dhaulagiri(8167m) Annapurna (8091m)and other Himalayan mastiff. The captivating waterfalls, caves, rivers, and lakes along the way, including Kamala Daha, as well as Solar Daha make this trek all worthwhile.

The culture and people are still untouched by urbanization and some still have the Maoist ideology instilled in them but they are just as hospitable and welcoming as is the case with nepali people everywhere. This trek offers you an array of multi-ethnic lifestyles, fresh pastures in a green valley, and the beat of Deuda music, a popular tune in the west of Nepal. This a camping trip as the only other alternative is the homes of the villagers in remote areas which are not as comfortable compared to other home stays and tea houses on other commercial trails.
So come join us to discover the beauty of western Nepal and relive the historic trail of the peoples movement.
